Bellingham Pediatric Therapy

I am so happy we found Bellingham Pediatric Therapy! Emily has been working with my son for the past two years, and his growth and progress have been incredible. We have seen improvements in his confidence, his gross and fine motor skills, balance, willingness to try new things, and his ability to understand his own sensory needs and express his feelings. Emily is collaborative with our school and doctors, and has been the best advocate for our family. She meets the child where they are at, builds a genuine trusting relationship, joins into imaginative play, and inspires growth. We have appreciated her neurodiversity affirming approach, her steady communication, her ability to be human with us and validate our experiences, her tactful ability to have hard conversations, her capacity to share in our joy at each milestone, and her seriously fun personality. Emily is a gift to the Bellingham community and to all families who get the privilege of working with her.

Emily at Bellingham Pediatric Therapy is truly incredible. We booked an intensive for our little with CP, and our experience from start to finish was like the best warm hug you greeting you during a really difficult time. You can count on Emily to be knowledgeable, thoughtful, and encouraging while working to get your and your child’s goals met. We can’t wait to go back for our son’s next intensive and even if he can’t say it with words there is no doubt he is excited about it too!

There are no words that can adequately describe how amazing Emily is. Our 4 year old daughter who is non ambulatory and non verbal has been seeing her for about a year now and it has been life changing for our family. Emily is crazy strong and is a wealth of knowledge and our girl has made leaps and bounds in her development because of it. Emily’s skill and kindness are equal in measure, her love for what she does and her love for the kiddos in her care shines through during every therapy session. We feel so incredibly blessed to have Emily on our daughter’s care team and look forward to our visits every week!

If I could give Emily more than 5 stars, I would. She’s not only an outstanding professional who definitely knows her field, but she’s also personable, sweet and caring beyond measure. Emily started seeing my 6 year old son in 2021, after she visited his school to run evaluations on the children. I was suspecting my son had some hypersensitivity issues, but Emily was able to pinpoint them in such a clear and smart way that truly gave me peace of mind knowing that it could be treated through therapy. Moreover, my son has shown significant improvement that I never thought would happen so quickly. Emily’s approach shows knowledge and concern, while being super sweet, patient and understanding of my son’s needs. It’s truly amazing to see her at work! And as if it weren’t enough, my son loves her to pieces and gets super excited every time he gets to see her. I think that proves how special and wonderful Emily truly is. Words cannot express how lucky we are to have found her and, in all honesty, I wouldn’t trust my son’s wellbeing to any other OT as experienced, perceptive and pleasant as Emily.
