Unfortunately, my experience with BTA has been extremely frustrating. The main issue is the complete lack of communication. Families are left without any updates or explanations. Therapists and supervisors are constantly changing, which means there is no consistency in the treatment. As a result, the child cannot have stable or effective therapy. On a regular basis, staff members quit, and suddenly there is no therapist and no supervisor assigned. In those situations, the family is simply left without services. What makes this worse is that the company does not proactively reach out to explain what is happening or give any timeline for when services will resume. For a service that involves children and their development, this level of instability and lack of communication is unacceptable. I am leaving this review because many of the existing reviews do not reflect this reality, and other families deserve to know what they may experience.

Doesn't accept "private insurance" meaning unless you have Medical, which they are cutting next year... they won't take you. SO literally anyone else with problems can just suck it I guess. Very frustrating as a mom trying to find treatment options for my son. Super unhelpful.

Very unprofessional! Under qualified therapists. Snarky and rude manager at the Walnut Creek center. They want to hold families accountable for everything but have nothing but excuses for themselves. Do not recommend, find a new ABA center. Tried to have me re-sign a contract I had already signed at the start of services to "refamiliarize" myself after they didn't show up to a meeting they scheduled three months ago claiming it was a "tentatively" scheduled meeting. What kind of company schedules tentative meetings with their clients? They had a therapist coming to my house to do home therapy that was very unqualified and then when I let him go he continued to show up. He had to be told several times that he lost his position. The company has been nothing but a very weird and unprofessional experience. Avoid this company at all costs!! Don't waste your time, you'll end up switching companies.

Very poor and unprofessional Service. Know NOTHING about ABA. This is simply a ABA pop up shop. They are a fraud and are not invested in the patients. I honestly had the WORST experience ever here! More specifically during the last month. Nobody knew anything about my child's status and I was never called back for a thing. Spoke to some lady Connie that was just horrible and is not professional at all! Please don't waste your time! Rather be waitlisted in a better ABA PROVIDER. Update: I posted this a while back, it is now 7.30.18 and no calls are being answered or emails responded back. I need my inform to change agencies. Also, just found out that a man by the name of Douglas is reaching out to many Hispanic families and trying to “ recruit” them for services. Very distasteful and unprofessional. My same friend mention that the “positive” reviews left on the site are from former or previous employees. That’s definitely says a lot. I have reported this agency to the BACB along with medical insurance companies. This is not fair for our kiddos!
