This is the 3rd ABA company we have been with and by far the BEST. My son has blossomed since being with them and I am so grateful for the care and coordination we receive from them. Communication is key for me as a parent and before we started with Acorn, I was left in the dark with the other providers while my son was not getting consistent support when he needed it the most. My son is thriving now!!!

I cannot say enough good things about our family's experience with Acorn! We were hesitant about starting ABA when our son was diagnosed with autism, but the Acorn team answered every question and concern until we felt confident giving it a try. Our son has been loved by the Acorn staff like he's family and the growth we've seen has been tremendous! His team is outstanding and constantly developing new ways to support his needs or develop new ways of approaching teaching him. Our regular parent training sessions keep us up to date on what's happening and incredible guidance on how we can support him at home. Acorn continues to push our son to his greatest potential and they are his biggest cheerleaders! We can't imagine where we would be if we hadn't started with Acorn back in the beginning of 2023. The team they have is incredible to work with, super knowledgeable of their field, and genuinely caring and compassionate. 10/10 would recommend to everyone I can think of!

About 4-5 months ago I reached a very low point and was desperate for the right kind of help. Two of my friends and I came across Lauren Daniels who works under the Acorn Center. Fast forward, I was set up to have my session in March, and a couple weeks before, I found myself in an extremely difficult situation with the person who was helping me pay for the very expensive therapy. As soon as the decision was made that I wasn’t doing it, I sent an email to Lauren, a week before the therapy would start. Under the contract it said I had until 7 days before to cancel. It was a very difficult time for me so I did not realize that after I sent the email, my phone glitched and it did not send nor was it in my drafts. I had taken a screenshot of the email before I sent it, but I can’t find the sent email itself. I did not realize this because of the position I was in, which is my fault. However when I realized this the day of therapy, I told lauren what happened, and explained to her my situation. She said without proof of attempt of email she would have to charge my card. I remembered that I had the screenshot, so I sent the screenshot along with the time stamp of when I wrote the email. I explained to her that my email must have glitched but I know I did try to send it. She said she would still need to charge me unless I forward her the email, and I could still do the therapy if I wanted. So I responded again explaining that I don’t have the email to forward to her and then I heard nothing. Quite frankly, I did not feel comfortable to still do the therapy with someone who heard how distraught I was over the phone and continued to handle it the way she did. We knew we would lose the deposit and maybe even the first couple of days. It is on the closer end to $7,000 for this therapy. I understand having a policy, but I did show proof of an attempt where I clearly planned to cancel therapy with 7 days notice. I would not recommend choosing Lauren Daniels for this therapy, as someone who was at a very low point, I did not feel comfortable doing this therapy after speaking to her about my attempt at cancellation. I would have expected a therapist concerned with the well being of individuals going through severe mental health issues to be more understanding.
