Claim your listing! After seeking help from four other doctors, all of whom offered unclear answers and little to no direction, working with Dr. Shannon Ryan was a completely different experience. From the moment we walked into her office, it was evident that she loves what she does. She greeted us with warmth, genuine enthusiasm, and confidence, and she took the time to connect with my son before even beginning any testing. Creating a space where he felt safe and comfortable was clearly her first priority, far above any schedule or time limit. As we sat in her (welcoming) office, we immediately felt at ease. Throughout the evaluation, it was clear that my son felt relaxed and supported, which is something we had not experienced elsewhere. Dr. Ryan explained every step of the process in a way that was clear, thoughtful, and accessible. Any time we needed clarification, she patiently ensured we fully understood before moving on. My son's case was not straightforward, yet Dr. Ryan approached it with exceptional expertise, patience, and compassion. She was able to synthesize the information in a clear and actionable way, offering insights and guidance that were truly invaluable. Her feedback was delivered with both professionalism and genuine care. I cannot overstate how grateful we are for Dr. Ryan. Not only is she an expert in her field, but it is abundantly clear how deeply she cares about the children and families she works with. The information and support she provided have been genuinely life changing for our family, and we now feel empowered and hopeful as we move forward with the plan and strategies she outlined. We are so appreciative of her dedication, kindness, and expertise. Working with Dr. Ryan has been an exceptional experience from start to finish.

My son has been seeing Dr. Ryan for a few months now, and I cannot express how valuable she has been to him — and to our family. Since starting sessions with Dr. Ryan, we’ve seen incredible progress. He genuinely looks forward to meeting with her each week. Dr. Ryan has not only helped him build confidence and social skills, but she’s also guided our family in developing strategies to support his success. We are so grateful for her care, expertise, and compassion.

I can’t recommend Dr. Shannon Ryan highly enough, she is wonderful. Before we settled at Creekview, we had met with a couple of other psychologists and therapists who I’m sure are great, but the second we walked out of our first meeting with Dr. Shannon, my son said he really, really liked her- and so did I! It’s been several months now and he looks forward to his weekly appointment with Dr. Shannon, it’s probably one of the things he most looks forward to each week. Dr. Shannon provides a calm, safe, positive environment for kids to open up. She is very knowledgeable, but at the same time very relatable and easy to talk to. Dr. Shannon is also great at communicating with parents and offering strategies and ideas to help at home. We are so grateful to have found her!

I have loved this place since coming. I feel no one is judgmental and just truly understanding of everyone’s needs! This is the first psych/therapy place I have felt successful in. I must give a shout out to my therapist Emily! She is just so kind and down to earth and a calming person. Everyone sees a different therapist based on their needs and I am just so thankful I got paired with her! :) I have never felt more progress in my mental health than I have now!

My son is a previous patient of the office. He has not been seen recently. We use to meet with Dr. Koch regularly for follow ups after the initial ASD diagnosis and neuro exam. Due to some recent concerns and set backs, I reached back out to the office to schedule some therapy services for my son. I was sure that since we were a previous client we would not have any issues setting up an appointment and would most likely be seen faster than starting elsewhere with another facility. I was immediately taken back by the voice recording stating call backs can take 24-48 hours, however continued with the call. I spoke with a woman in the office who stated they would have to confirm my insurance coverage before setting the appointment, as it was longer than 6 months since my son was seen. This call took place on or around 9/16. I was told after the insurance is confirmed I would receive a call from somebody different to set up the appointment and that process would take a few days. I called back on 9/22 for an update since I did not hear from anybody and it had been a week. I was assured the woman I was waiting on was out of the office dealing with a personal issue with her own child, but would hear from them shortly. It has now been another week with no return phone call. I called the office again today. Spoke with yet somebody else and asked them to transfer me to an office manager or supervisor. I was then told that person leaves at 3 PM and I could leave a voicemail and wait for a return call tomorrow. Although not satisfied with the answer, I agreed. I was then transferred to a line with continuous rings before hearing a general voicemail that left no name or indication that I was speaking to the person I should be or the person I requested. At this point I am beyond irritated. I simply wanted to voice my experience with a supervisor, make an appointment for my son and even that could not be accomplished without mishap. I am very disappointed in this office for treating previous clients with disregard. I reached out to make an appointment because I trusted your facility and had some serious concerns that needed to be addressed in regards to my son. Not only will I not be using your office again, but I am now taking to the Internet to share my experience in hopes of saving somebody else the trouble. My son was a client long before the facility moved to the building in Monaca. I understand that growth often changes processes, but the lack of communication and concern from your office is not acceptable. Hopefully my feedback sheds some light on where there is disconnects and room for improvement. Additionally, I am choosing not to provide the names of those I spoke to purposely as my frustration comes from my experience as a whole with the facility and not necessarily one individual or employee. I valued Dr. Koch’s experience and recommendations. It’s a shame we are forced to go elsewhere and my son has to start over with new faces due to a lack of office follow up and urgency.

PLEASE BE AWARE...In July, 2025 my son was assessed by DR. SNYDER and subsequently diagnosed with Autism and Intellectual disabilities. Regrettably, my son and I are currently in the eviction process, as I am unfortunately unable to sustain the financial responsibilities necessary to live in our residence. Gratefully, an opportunity has come to fruition at a subsidized housing residence, however, we are in immediate need of documentation submitting that my son is permanently disabled from his doctor. This, of course, is a time critical matter. I have made contact with both his mental health Psychiatrist as well as DR. SNYDER. Upon speaking with the receptionist at THE PSYCHOLOGY AND LEARNING CENTER IN MONACA PA, she assured me that, as we were discussing the matter of our eviction, she was preparing a "PRIORITY EMAIL" to DR. SNYDER stating the absolute critical and time sensitive reality of our situation, citing especially that we would be Homeless if said form was not provided in an immediate fashion, as the unit would not be held for an extensive period. The receptionist then assured me that I could expect to hear from either herself or DR. SNYDER Expedientially. PLEASE BE AWARE that I have subsequently heard absolutely nothing from THE PSYCHOLOGY AND LEARNING CENTER since nor of DR. SNYDER. Note, it has been 6 days. I submit that it is tragically evident that in the extremely unfortunate event that you are going to be without a home, do not expect to receive any critical assistance from DR. SNYDER or THE PSYCHOLOGY AND LEARNING CENTER. End note: THANKFULLY, We will be okay and are not going to be be homeless... BECAUSE, GOD' S GRACE IS PERFECTLY AMAZING.....

Great place ! Dr. Dennison is awesome. He was very thorough with my teen, & was very informative throughout the entire process. He explained the diagnosis’s, the recommended treatments, made sure that we understand everything. It’s very clear that he wanted to help in any way that he could. He truly cares. He was also very friendly, humorous, & kind to my kid, which really eased nervousness. All of the ladies in the office have been great, also. The waiting area is just beautiful, with very comfortable seating. Nothing but good things to say about this place ! It’s nice to have the answers that we needed, & to be heard, validated, & treated with kindness, respect, & courtesy throughout.

me and my daughter have been going here for awhile with no issues. providers have been knowledgeable, supportive and helpful. my insurance doesn’t prioritize psychiatric services. we have had balances which ive made payments on consistently. ive been told by office staff as long as im making payments, things should remain fine. on top of this, my daughters is paid off currently. they wont schedule a re evaluation for her until mine is paid off now. very upsetting. ive done nothing but say great things about this practice, but i feel this is harsh. well be finding another provider.
