Lied to us and told us there were no minimum hour requirements when I initially called. We proceeded with them specifically because we needed shorter hours due to our young child being in other therapies throughout the week. This was mentioned during the first phone call, also discussed at the tour, discussed throughout the entire intake process with the bcba, going so far as to even pick out specific days that would work. We were told it would “probably be fine”. Waited from July 9 to July 23 for the kick off meeting for what we thought was to go over the plan for our child. Was told in the meeting that our child would have to do a minimum of 20 hours/week. This doesn’t work for us which is why we didn’t proceed with other aba clinics because they required these minimums. We’re totally fine if that’s a requirement, but this place lied to us. We spent hours doing the intake process including an in clinic observation, an at home evaluation and a public evaluation. Not once during July 9-July 23 did anyone contact us, reach out, email, call, etc. to say anything would change or that our child would require more hours. They waited until the meeting on July 23 to drop it on us after we thought our plan had been in place for nearly the last month. I then followed up with an email to the director on 7/28 and still have not heard a word back. I’m glad this occurred and we didn’t send our child here because we feel deceived and angry that we wasted so much time, especially with making a special needs child get accustomed and familiar with a new place/people. I would not recommend this location unless you’re okay with no communication.

My son started going last year and he loves it! They're so amazing with the kids and I would highly recommend them for your child! Your child gets that one on one and also they would have fun! My son is non verbal, but he is doing so good and progressing so much! Thank yous for all yous do here for my child and others as well!

Both of my children attend ABA therapy at Helping Hands Family Allentown! It is one of the best choices I have made to help my children progress and develop! Each of my children are potty trained on a schedule, which I didn't think I could ever do with them! This was the result of ABA therapy! When they told me it was time to potty train my daughter, I legitimately laughed in their face. I said "she doesn't cognitively understand it" and I learned from the autism potty training webinars to wait otherwise it could become adversive. My BCBA looked me in the eye and said "she will never cognitively understand it. You need to teach her the skill and pair it with words". That BCBA knew exactly what to do and how to teach me to do it to continue the process at home. WOW! Life changing! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because there has been a lot of turn over/ short staffing. We need to check our email daily to see if they are called off in the morning, which is hard for working parents. I will say the clinic goes over and beyond to accommodate your schedule though. If you email them and say they can only be called off these due to working these days, they will do their best! My children LOVE attending the clinic and its been the best spot for them! They are like a second family!
