My twins have been going to HHF for over 6 months. HHF is play based and child led which is most important to me. My twins love going, they love their teachers (RBTs/BCBA) and they leave every day happy. They are making progress across the board.

They have been amazing with my son and I can’t thank all the RBTS and BCBA’s for their kindness, compassion, and love to my little boy! I have seen such an improvement! They have assisted me so much and have been so helpful every step of the way. I am so thankful that I brought him here. They have also been so accommodating to any schedule changes, and always email updates! I am truly honored to have my son here. The whole staff is absolutely incredible: Amberlyn, Mikayla, Jada, and Shahla are just a few of the staff that have gone above and beyond for my son Landon and I was actually crying yesterday because of the amount of compassion the staff have for all of the children!

It was going great until it wasn’t as if raising a child with autism isn’t already hard as is. My son had been going here for maybe 3 months and has progressed tremendously, up until yesterday I was told he can’t come back because they no longer accept Medicaid. While I understand things happen I’m very much upset, frustrated and sad for my son. It’s as if all the work put in to getting him in here was basically for nothing, back to square one. While they just continue to move forward with their day to day lives I’m scrambling and in shambles trying to figure out what’s next for my son. To them I’m sure my son was just another figure but honestly I’m feeling defeated, I guess I’ll have to reach out to other places and get back on waitlists. Although I’m unsure why they are no longer accepting Medicaid, someone commented on a social media post and said “they cut Medicaid because they didn’t do what they were suppose to do so they lost their contract.” I’m hoping to get an elaboration, in reality no matter the reason my son will deeply be affected by this huge change. My son was dropped with no regard or warning at all. It’s hard enough to get services for children on the spectrum as is so to have to go through the whole process again with zero regard from the very people that know how hard it is to get these service in the first place is deeply saddening. I hope moving forward they choose to give notice ahead of time so no one goes through what I’m going through. The people at the clinic are very friendly and great with the children that I will give them and I’m grateful for the time my son did get to spend there. But I’m not happy about the way this took place at all.

I cannot say enough about Helping Hands Center Valley. My daughter is 3 and absolutely loves going there and her therapists! They love her too! When she first started she was non-verbal and had some aggressive behaviors (pinching, biting, scratching) when upset. Those negative behaviors are now non-existent! She is also able to identify verbally all of her letters and numbers (in any order) when asked or independently as she wants to. She can also verbally identify animals and their sounds, objects in a room and people in her life (mom, dad, nanny, brother, sister etc.) She has also been working on potty training and is killing it! She can go the whole day at Helping Hands without an accident. Her ability to follow directions has tremendously improved. Her progress has been incredible and she has only been there 8 months. The amount of goals she has mastered is amazing in such a short time. I could go on and on about her progress. My girl is thriving and Helping Hands Center Valley has a huge role in her success! Oh and FIELD TRIPS AND PARTIES!
