I feel compelled to write this review because some of the negative comments I’m seeing simply do not align nor come close with my experience or with the character of DR. Carter! I have been with this practice since it first opened, and for years she has been the only provider, consistently showing up with professionalism, care, and integrity. There have been times when sessions ran past the scheduled time because I was genuinely struggling and I was deeply grateful for that support. It’s important to remember that if an appointment ever started late, it may have been because another patient truly needed care in that moment. This is healthcare, not a convenience service. I have never experienced billing issues, lack of professionalism, or disregard for my time. On the contrary, I’ve experienced compassion, consistency, and excellent care. DR Carter is exceptional not only as a therapist, but also in medication management. Her evaluation process is so thorough compared to years of me having mental health experiences and being on and off of meds that didn’t even work. The growth and healing in my life over the years speak for themselves my family and friends see the difference in who I am today. I would confidently recommend her to anyone I care about. She is an outstanding provider who genuinely puts her patients first. The progress I’ve made under her care has been life changing, and those close to me see it clearly. I have nothing but respect and gratitude for the work she does and the care she provides.

Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor's office. I would recommend staying away. They had a billing error on their end that was going to charge me for services my insurance would cover, which I was made aware of the morning of my appointment. When I called to figure out what the charge was I was told the person who handles billing works remotely and wouldn't be able to give me an answer before my appointment. I was told by the receptionist I could cancel my appointment until the billing was figured out, and thought that was that. Days later i received two bills, one a late cancellation fee for $85 and one a $100 no-show fee (which one is it?), both addressed to my name, misspelled. I also received an incredibly rude and accusatory email insinuating that I was not "responsible for knowing (my) insurance contracts". The administrative assistant Leeyana clearly needs training on professionalism, especially if she plans to continue working with vulnerable populations. I'm lucky to be knowledgeable about my rights as a patient, however I have to wonder how many other people have received rude emails and more importantly inaccurate billing. Edit: 4 months later and they are still following up for a cancellation fee that I was told was waived when I first dealt with this office. Terrible administration, wildly unprofessional, STAY AWAY

Working with Dr Carter was fine besides frequent late appointments, until she changed insurance and we never saw her again with zero warning and were dropped from mental health medications with no option to refill. The office itself is a disaster. We had sent a few people there in the earlier days and when they changed insurance they all told us a different story.

Upfront this place seems like the place to go. Dr. Carter seemed to want to help in so many ways that made me hopeful. Care that you would expect...she may well do good for some, but definitely not for me. She would say she would accommodate earlier appointments for my job , but never showed after a half hour of waiting and then charged ME with a no-show.. even though in my anxious state tried calling, emailing, reaching out to her in any way to remind her of my appointment. I had a total of three sessions and every single one she was late for with no heads up whatsoever. One was supposed to be a two hour appointment. She was 20 minutes late(I had to call the office to remind her) and the call only lasted a maybe a half hour.. She was charging me full sessions even though she would stop the session when it was supposed to be over with. 20-30 minutes of waiting for a 15-25 minute appointment. Not worth the added anxiety and financial loss in my opinion
