Our child has been seeing Jill for 10 months and has made remarkable progress. Jill identified areas of concern and was able to progressively work on them to the point he is much stronger and has better body control. Jill not only worked with him but also gave us invaluable insight into how to handle issues when they arose. Jill is very caring with him and is a great role model for parents in the way she speaks to and helps a child. He loves going to her gym.

Jill is amazing. I was struggling with problem solving some situations with my young daughter, and we were often getting stuck in patterns that we're hard! I'd read all the books, listened to numerous podcasts, taken her to play therapy, horse therapy, all the things...but when I found Jill, everything shifted pretty quickly! Jill is skilled, smart, intuitive, and also grounded, strong, clear. She has a magical way of working with children + adults, and I always leave feeling heard + supported with new tools in my toolbox that actually work, and my daughter can't wait for next time- it's her favorite day of the week. Jill's a gift and full of tremendously helpful insights!

This was my first experience working with an OT. At the time most of the OT’s that I could find in the area didn’t have an office space equipped with the standard OT tools that I wanted such as a ball pit, climbing things, swings etc. Thankfully I found Jill through another therapist because she has a large equipped play space separate from her house, surrounded by her beautiful farm, where she conducts her visits. At our first appointment, about 5 months ago, my 5 year old daughter would only wear one pair of swim shorts, one t-shirt, no socks or underwear and croc shoes only. She also was getting very disregulated about EVERYTHING at the drop of a hat. This had caused some difficulty in our daily lives and constant battles over clothing every morning. To go further this was affecting her enjoyment of the outdoors because she wouldn’t wear a helmet or felt uncomfortable in her roller skates. Jill helped us over the months with tools to help my daughter learn how to regulate her body so that she could feel comfortable to try all different kinds of clothing and find a helmet that would work. We also worked on other things over the months that I had no idea were related to sensory issues such as thumb sucking, eating preferences, the need to move all of the time, calming down for sleep etc. our experience with Jill was invaluable, I would recommend her all day everyday if I could.

It may feel like a scary time when you need to search for a pediatric occupational therapist. How do I know? My son required occupational therapy for many years after his diagnosis with a spectrum disorder, at three years old. We needed almost every skill set Jill's practice has to offers. The earlier you obtain any support service for your child the early your child gains essential functional skills for growth and development, social interaction, communication and play. Jill is a skilled therapist, and we are pleased to have had her support when we needed it, and her practice is holistic. She has numerous years of experience working with children of all ages and all needs. Take a breath, give her a call and begin this journey with your child.
