Within a couple sessions at Natural Learning Solutions I could already begin to tell a difference. The kids dramatically improved in every aspect on their exit assessment but more than that, we see a difference in them at home and at school.

Our family has been with Autism Learning Partners for almost a year, and unfortunately, our experience has been highly disappointing and unstable. I have two children on the autism spectrum who were both signed up for services at the same time. However, ALP neglected my son, and his services did not start until months later, while his sister started earlier. This delay was never appropriately handled and already set the tone for the disorganization and lack of accountability we would continue to experience. Throughout our time with ALP, we experienced constant turnover among both BTs and supervisors. We had multiple BTs who suddenly quit without explanation, and others who stayed only a few weeks. This lack of consistency is especially harmful for children who need routine, stability, and trust. When I specifically requested experienced staff for my child due to self-injurious behaviors, ALP instead sent very young, inexperienced BTs who had just started. Even worse, they were told not to tell me that they were new. This was completely unacceptable and unsafe for my child. We were also explicitly told at the beginning that outings with our BTs were allowed, and we did many in the beginning (parks, museums, etc.). Later, when supervisors changed, we were suddenly told these outings were not allowed. We were then treated as if we had broken the rules and made to sit down and go over company policies as if we were the ones in the wrong, even though we had only done what we were initially told was permitted. This was a clear example of the gaslighting and blame-shifting we experienced. They are also extremely punitive about cancellations. My children are immunocompromised and get sick often, and they also have sleep issues. On days when we could not safely conduct sessions, they insisted on rigidly following their sickness and cancellation protocols. They threatened to terminate services if we had “too many” cancellations and did not make them up. This felt like pressure and intimidation rather than support for medically fragile children. None of their staff seems to be on the same page regarding rules, policies, or procedures. We were constantly given different answers depending on who we spoke to. When I asked questions or tried to hold the company accountable, I was met with passive-aggressive behavior and gaslighting rather than clear communication or solutions. We also experienced unprofessional behavior from supervisors, poor communication, and profound disorganization. At one point, I personally had to advocate for my child because Edward was denying services without an appropriate justification. Communication between supervisors, BTs, and myself was consistently a problem. Most recently, we were informed that our current BTs are also leaving (we love our current BTs), but they told us before they told ALP. They shared the level of internal unprofessionalism, and honestly, I don’t blame them for quitting and seeking other employment. That alone says a lot about what kind of company this is. With all of this, we have decided to discontinue services and do not want to be assigned any new staff. This company needs to seriously improve how it treats both its clients and its employees, and work on organization, communication, and staff retention. Families in the autism community depend on consistent, reliable care, and unfortunately, that has not been our experience here. We will seek services elsewhere and share our experience so other families can make informed decisions.

It’s amazing to me how well the Learning is integrated into the play. It’s a very natural process In which you can tell the clients are having an extreme amount of fun and making huge progress in their abilities to read, write speak and much more. All the teachers are very engaged with the kids, It’s organized and clean and filled to the brim with learning materials, games, and toys and to keep everyone happy and focused. There’s a genuine connection between the Behavior Technicians and kids.

We started services with ALP back in November 2023, and we already had 4 to 5 behavioral technicians since then, and it hasn't even been a full year. If you have been to the facility, all the kids are just running around while the BTs are chatting. It's very disorganized, and it looks like a glorified daycare. BTs are fresh out of high school with no experience. When I asked for a BT that has experience, since I've tolerated all this BS I was told, they cannot guarantee experienced BT. If you're really serious about getting services for your child, I would not recommend this place. The only great thing about this place is our first BT Minh. She was promoted to project manager. She was good at what she did and was very passionate about her job.

Theyll just play with your kid. When you speak up about it theyll get mad. Also, if they send you a new BT that person will not be informed about your child(ren)'s case. Theyre soft and unwilling to properly do theyre jobs. Theres articles popping up about ABA quality as a whole. Take that into consideration before continuing.

My son has been receiving services from here for about a year and a half now. The individuals that have worked with us have been great at creating plans and implementing them. The biggest problem that we have experienced since starting services with them is the high turnover rate of their DSPs. Our latest DSP is amazing but because of the history we have experienced with receiving these services is that it is only a matter of time before they leave the company, forcing us to try out another DSP. Though, it seem like the employees that they have been hiring lately is much much better than those they've hired when we first started. The progress that my son has made is just amazing. I strongly believe that ALP has helped our son accomplish things much faster. Of course, all of his progress is a combination of what ALP has done, length of time since my son started any services - not just with ALP, ability and consistency of guidance at home via parents and siblings, and hugely, the ASD program he receives from PUSD. Take any of those things a way and I'm sure he would be no where as close to the progress of where he is today. We appreciate everyone at ALP that has helped us and our son.
