I hate Luther hall. The food is horrible, I barely eat while there. The kids are loud and fight constantly. My mental health has gotten 10x worse since I’ve been there, and my eating disorder has came back 1000x stronger than before. It is not a good environment for kids whatsoever. The staff are great, no complaints there. But everything else is horrible. 0/10. If I could rate Nexus-PATH 0 stars, I would.

Luther Hall was an interesting experience for me.I was there last year, had some tough stuff happen but through all that pain and the struggle of trying to pick myself up, I found people there who helped me up dusted me off. Those people were the staff, I never got to say goodbye to them. But they did help me through the whole process they supported me, and I'm so grateful for them today. Now I'm home and safe. I'm experiencing the life they told I could have. My names My name is Madison and I'm telling Luther hall I'm eternally grateful to you guys💕

This place saved me. They took the time to listen to me, even when I screamed at them because I was having a hard time expressing my emotions and trauma. They never seemed impatient with me and staff would stay with me as long as I needed. They take the time to get to know you and they ask you before putting you on new medications. They took us on fun outings and gave us each our own music player. We even got to pick the music they put on it! They treated us like real people, not just something they were stuck dealing with until their shifts ended like other facilities I was at. I used to try ending my life all the time before going there. After leaving, I never attempted again. Its been two years since I was there and I will always be greatful for everything they had done for me.

I was here for a year in 2014, i’ve heard it’s been worse since they linked up with PATH, and i’ve had horrible experiences with Path and their trauma and crisis therapists, and many other of their services and staff and their board team is juuust awful. which is why i’m giving a one. I wouldn’t dare trust PATH with my kids’ safety. In 2014 though, i hated the staff but i also liked them a lot too. The cook Rachel was THE BEST cook i’ve ever met in my life and every wednesday we would get a sweet for the “snack” time and her fried ice cream was amazing, she treated me to sushi before she left too. I really did miss her but by then i was already almost out too, (i hope you’re doing good rachel!!!) I thought i should also mention back then, there were doors leading outside that didn’t lock, so we could run when we wanted lol. I was given a sandisk mp3 player back then and there was a whole book on songs you could have, i still have it! They also let us have roommates with the other girls under certain circumstances. I met some amazing staff and people in general back then. When i left, i did cry a lot because i missed them all. They did help me in the long run, but again, this place has clearly gone downhill and i wouldn’t ever put my kids here considering…path. 🤢

I was there October 2006- August 2007. I was moved to luther hall from home on the range for behaving badly. It was the best move ever! We got to go to Minnesota for twins games and timber wolves games. Had I been there a couple weeks more I wouldve been able to go to the state Fair in minnesota! The food was amazing. Homemade. I really wish I could remember the name of the lady who cooked our food but I cant. She would make us a cake and whatever we wanted to eat for dinner on our birthday. I absolutely loved it there! That was 10 years ago now so I'd imagine they have all knew staff and maybe things are a little different now. If it changed for the worse I'm sure it's because of kids messing up and getting privileges taken away. I really wish I knew the name of the lady that was in charge when I was there. Lisa maybe? She was pretty cool! And she had a Persian cat that she brought in once for us. He wasn't a fan of ppl tho. Anyway, this is my favorite group home! HOTR wasn't too bad either. Just sucks that it's in the middle of nowhere.
