Peace Valley Recovery is the most amazing and magical place. I was fortunate enough to be apart of their PHP program where only the best counselors, therapists and group facilitators lead each group. Through their kindness and tremendous amount of knowledge on the disease of addiction, they were able to help me dig deep to work through past traumas, work to push the negative thoughts I had about myself out of my head, learn how to “feel” again and the importance of expressing my emotions rather than bottling it all up inside. I was also given individual therapy sessions twice a week where I was able to work one on one with my therapist, diving even deeper into my past and figure out what I needed to work through. I cannot express in words how much Peace Valley and everyone apart of this amazing recovery team means to me. They saved my life and for the first time, made me feel like I was apart of something special.They have become not just my friends, but my family and will forever hold a special place in my heart. My heart is filled with gratitude- Gratitude that had been lost for so many years. Thank you Steve, Monica, Kyle, Doug, Tina, Jackie, Meg and everyone else for making me realize that this was a gift that was given to me- the opportunity to take a few months to just work on myself, to heal and become strong in my recovery- so I could be a better person, Mom and friend.
