Our experience working with our service coordinator Martha at Achieve Beyond has been fantastic. She is responsive, proactive and helpful with any questions we have. We are so grateful for her attention and care.

I’m very disappointed with the level of professionalism from this organization. I had a confirmed speech therapy appointment for my child, and Melissa Noel canceled just ten minutes before the session was supposed to begin. This last-minute notice was extremely inconvenient and showed little consideration for families who rearrange their schedules to make sure their children receive the care they need. When working with children who rely on consistency and support, reliability and courtesy should be a top priority. I truly hope the organization and its staff improve communication and dependability in the future — families deserve better.

On May 7, 2025, after my 3-year-old daughter’s developmental evaluation at Achieve Beyond (located inside 1311 Mamaroneck Avenue), we were quietly waiting in the lobby for medical transportation when we were confronted in a way I’ll never forget. My daughter was peacefully walking around and looking out the window. She wasn’t running, screaming, or causing any disruption. Suddenly, an older bald white man, who identified himself as the owner of the building, stormed out of a nearby office and aggressively demanded that I “remove” my daughter from the lobby. His tone was loud, hostile, and completely unprofessional. He acted as if my daughter didn’t belong there, as if she was an animal disturbing his space. He claimed he “couldn’t do his job” because of her presence, which made no sense given how quiet she had been. When I calmly explained that we were waiting for transportation after a scheduled service, he interrogated what “business” I had there, and then barked, “I’m the OWNER,” as though that gave him permission to treat us however he wanted. As this was happening, my daughter started crying. She was scared and confused by this man’s aggression. That is the part that will stay with me forever. But the most disturbing moment came as he walked away. He muttered, “It’s always something with THESE PEOPLE.” That line cut deeper than anything else, and made it very clear what kind of prejudice we had just experienced. A staff member from Achieve Beyond came down shortly after and told me I absolutely had every right to be in the lobby, and that my daughter hadn’t done anything wrong. But by then, the damage was done. If this man truly represents the ownership or management of this property, parents should be warned. This building houses services for young children with developmental needs, there is no excuse for racist, hostile, or dehumanizing behavior, especially toward a mother and child simply waiting to go home.

Lorraine was our ABA therapist and she is a gem ! Lorraine is patient as can be and helped my child come such a long way even though we started a bit late in the program . It was a pleasure to have her be apart of our household and so hard to say good bye as we will miss her so much . If you have the chance to have her work with you and your child know you are so very lucky ! Andrea was our service coordinator is also a very kind responsive person who it was a pleasure to have every step of the way . Thank you Achieve beyond !

This is such a great Agency. I worked with the coordinator Ms. Annabel Rojas and I must say she gave me the best experience ever. She always picked my calls and was willing to assist me with anything I needed. She is a very patient and reliable person and she encouraged me all the time . I would never hesitate to work with Achieve Beyond anytime especially because of her. Such great services and experience for me. I would surely recommend this Agency for any parent looking for services.
