This is NOT a safe place for autistic AFAB, Femmes or Women. One of the volunteers is a predator that had been smearing me, ignoring all my boundaries, while pretending to others that he was trying to be friends with me, for months, before I realized what was going on. I didn’t realize he had malicious intentions before it was too late, he even began stalking me in other places near my house, after I blocked him online, and will not be going back. Nobody here actually cares about the struggles most late diagnosed autistic ppl experience. The “autistics” that work here are extremely privileged, out-of-touch, and have survivor bias. If you want to actually help, you’ll get smeared, trashed and discarded. They’re NOT interested in doing better. Poorly managed, predator controlled.

In my time in Erie these last 13 years I don't know that I've seen an organization rally people together like the Autism Society of NWPA. I've personally attended their Walks the last 7 years between COVID and not the most ideal weather... And people from all walks of life gather with their children. Their pets. Probably some of the kindest people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. Personnel and sponsors brave the conditions too(I do remember sunshine one year). Thanks to our local Autism Society we are able to raise money for research and activity programs. And just raise awareness how special our kids are and other's out there with Autism are. Standing in a sea of 1000's it's hard not to see all of the work that the Autism Society does in our area. Please support them and join us at our wonderful Walks. You won't regret it.

The Autism Society has been incredibly helpful to our family. They helped connect my family to community resources. And I have participated in multiple educational events they held for families. During the holidays they gave families free passes to a holiday event in Old Tucson and my son had a blast thanks to them. Truthfully, they helped give our family beautiful memories and provided us information on Autism that assisted our family in the process of building a brighter future for our son.

Wendy that was unprofessional behavior but typical of the local Autism Society chapter. Do you think is was autism-friendly to contradict an experience she had. I don't recommends the Autism Society either. Netither does Autism Watch. One of the main problems I have always seen is there is no one to hold your organization accountable. If you were under the guidance of a mandated ethics code I would be helping this person go for your job right now
