This place is unorganized and unprofessional. My last appointment was a mess. I waited over an hour to be seen and then when they brought me back they had no idea who I was and mistook me for another patient. Over an hour wait for an ...

You always feel welcome when you show up for your appointment ! The staff is great and so easy to talk to ! I’ve seen a lot of therapists and by far Peri and Desiree at Azalea Coast Behavioral Health are awesome. I’ve never had such great therapists before they truly take the time to listen to me and whatever problems i’m dealing they help talk me through them and make me feel a lot better about myself so thank you very much Peri, Desiree and the entire staff for doing such a great job!!

The care I received at this practice has been very unprofessional. In December I showed up early for my first appointment that was at 10a. However, I was not called back until sometime after 11. I was told their systems were down but I later realized the patient before me had shown up late and was being seen during my time slot. The next appointment I had was canceled due to the office being closed - even though it was scheduled during their normal business hours. I did not receive a phone call, text message, or email stating that my appointment was canceled and/or needed to be rescheduled. I drove over an hour to arrive at a locked facility with the lights turned off. During the hour drive back home I've reconsidered continuing to pay for services at this place. As a health facility dealing with all ranges of mental health cases, this place needs to do a better job at caring for others with quality & respect because every human being is made in the image of God. ⭐️Genesis 1:27⭐️

Not only is Dr. Warren knowledgeable and understanding, so is her staff from the nurses/assistants all the way to the kind receptionist! She is one of the few physicians that is consistent in prescribing my medicines but also encourages me to have blood work and more than just the annual visit, as I tend to stay to busy to pay attention to my own health sometimes. She recently did genetic testing to see if the meds I am on are best suited for me! They do stay busy, so when booking make sure to reach out as in advance as possible. Thank you Dr. Warren and staff for providing the type of care that Wilmington has a shortage of! I appreciate you all!

I was having trouble getting appointments for the care I needed, especially for some chronic health issues. Peri was able to work me in, knowing that certain medicines had withdrawal symptoms and I needed them asap. Peri was great: thorough, kind and I could tell she treats her patients like real people, not merely just another appointment.

Most caring psychiatrist I’ve ever had I feel remembered and like family when I walk through the door I have never had someone understand my problems more than Perihan has. I have been to many psych offices but this one I have not had a reason to change. Highly recommend! - - - - - It’s been quite a few years since my initial review and all this time later I still stand by my words. I have grown with azalea coast since they were at their first and second and second’s extension offices. I have recommended many to her. As the time has passed I have still needed her help but her help has worked. We can’t control life but they are always there to help me when I need it and there is never any judgement. Tough times would be impossible without her. Just an updated review because everything is changing in the healthcare world. Over all the years I’ve been to psychiatrists and therapists at a lot of places in town, this is the only place I have really felt 100% safe and can talk about anything it’s so comfortable and relaxed. Everyone is so kind and friendly they make you feel like you’re apart of a big family. Even in the waiting area the plants and the vibes when you walk in you feel a little better a little more relaxed. This is the one place I can speak and feel no judgement. I absolutely tell everyone in need to call this office. They believe in your physical and mental/emotional/behavioral health being a serious priority. You know some doctors will make you feel uncomfortable and don’t hear you when you’re asking for help or advice. In any practice there’s one of those doctors or experiences. Even at the emergency room, they dismiss you with no help sometimes. This practice isn’t one of those, this place is like a second home. Everyone that works there makes you feel so accepted and safe and comfortable to be yourself. If you need help and have trouble finding doctors you can trust — call them!!
