As a retired professional, and grandmother of a child with autism I am looking forward to placing my granddaughter in this school.

Amazing place for children with special needs. Smallest ratios per student of any school in the city at a third of the price of private schools here. ABA provided and billed to insurance and medicaid. Some local schools will also Cover tuition and send their students that cannot get the help they need at their location to Chartwell. Low ratios, individualized academics, speech, music therapy, equine therapy, gardening, health and wellness curriculum, community based instruction, and much more. Incredible.

The professional level at this learning center, (note: I did not say "school"), is world class caliber. Chartwell is an outstanding environment for people with autism roughly aged 6 to 29. It is a non-profit organization presenting national best practices standards in a very caring and highly respectful environment. Chartwell classes generally operate on a 1/1 or 1/2 student teacher ratio and tuition is charged but the school will work to find financial aid from provider sources. a very caring and skillful professional autism learning center.

Let me save you time.... unless you are loaded rich with $18,000 just lying around to spend on your handicapped child don't bother calling because the waitlist is very prevalent in this situation but not even the biggest stumbling block. To have been told everything I was told on the phone about this amazing school being such a good fit for my son I think the woman on the other end expected me to say how quickly could I write a check? But alas all I could say was that sounds amazing too bad my son will never be able to get this wonderful help because we are part of the society that gets overlooked because we are the ones that just get by to 'rich" for asistance and to poor for non profit organizations like this one.
