They discharged my 3 year old without telling me. Had me waiting months saying they were looking for a new therapist, just to find out they discharged him. Horrible

Horrible company. Promises to get you in within 2 weeks. We are at week 3 and they haven't even submitted the prior authorization. Then they tell you the 200+ pages of medical records isn't enough for your insurance so they won't even attempt to get a prior authorization. Go somewhere else. This is for at home services. Update in Sep 2024: Started this process on May 31st. We still don't have a ABA Tech. Updated: 12/17/2025 While I still don't recommend the administration process because they leave something to be desired. We received two top tier ABA therapists and an amazing BCBA that have been working with my son for over a year. They have been amazing after we got rid of the first ABA tech that was horrific. So as of now I will change my review. Will update as needed.

I do not recommend bringing your child for center based services unless they are in preschool or don't have significant behavior challenges. My son experienced significant behavioral challenges and medication adjustment difficulties this past winter, resulting in an inpatient admission to Nationwide Children's Hospital. I reached out to Kadiant, his sister's behavior therapy center at the time, and I was extremely transparent with his needs and challenges that he faced. They assured me that they had “experience” working with individuals like my son and were able to start in home services. However, they sent someone out who was not safety care trained or even with my son's behaviors, had a prior injury, and she just sat on our couch and would ask my son random fill in the blank questions. I was trying to be patient with the process because I know that the client needs to pair with their BT. My son was continuing to struggle with adjusting to his medications and NWC had to admit him back to their unit. Taylor Dishman, his BCBA, said that that wasn't what in home behavior therapy was supposed to look like(even though she didn't say anything at the time). However, she did recommend center based therapy for intensive behavior therapy. Sadly, after less than 2 months at the center, they gave up on my son and placed his services on hold. They claimed that they needed to see "medications work" in order for him to continue receiving therapies and they were also concerned with his regression while there at their center. Instead of meeting my son where he was at and implementing different behavior strategies, they blamed it solely on his medications. His BT, Becca Scholl, unfortunately lost interest in my son as he wasn't her success story and allowed my son to get away with certain behaviors. (Soiling himself, ripping apart his therapy room, and watched as he tore apart his medically prescribed helmet) My son never engaged in any of these behaviors while he was at home or in school and what they don't understand is that his behaviors were even more so challenging in the past while he was on several medications. Parent Training, which our insurance was billed, was also not received. I was also stood up more than 3 times for meeting updates. When my son attended, we asked what steps we should take if he does begin to get escalated and his BT just said that they allow him to “work through it” and allow him to engage in behaviors. So they pretty much kept him locked in a padded room instead of introducing safer replacement behaviors and coping skills. His behavior plan looked fantastic. I'll give his BCBA credit for being able to write up a good behavior plan, but they just did not know how to actually put that plan into action. Following a respectful discussion of my concerns with the regional supervisor and his BCBA, they did apologize; however, no changes or solutions were offered. They could had provided my son with in home behavior therapy with a trained staff member and implement his actual behavior plan and parent training, but... they discontinued my son's services altogether, and alternative ABA providers were recommended. They did cite staff shortages. When Nationwide Children's contacted his BCBA during admission, she told them she didn't know why they weren't doing in-home therapies, to protect their reputation. It is totally understandable if they do not work with adolescent and individuals who have behavioral challenges, but they should not claim that they do. That is so dangerous for everyone involved. Their lack of integrity and their immediate abandonment of my son without providing adequate support is very disappointing and disheartening. I provided so much trust, grace, and thought the staff were my friends. I am grateful for the behavioral intervention both of my children have received at other centers and organizations (serving children up to age 7) and within their school program. Otherwise I would have abandoned ABA therapy altogether based off of my heart breaking experience with Kadiant.

Worst Aba provider, one of the therapists let my youngest sit with zip lock bag over his head for over 5min, I only randomly saw on baby monitor and ran upstairs and told him to leave. When we went to summer program he was there! And still employed! Then after that a female therapist called child services on us as my barely verbal child said someone hit him- she checked him for marks and found none (according to report) no speaking to us about it or anything!

DO NOT trust these clowns with your kids, their staff are not trained at all and are incompetent, all they do it sit there in your home and watch the child play or make a mess without any actual behavioral therapy to help mold the child into better behavioral practices. 3 years and they couldn’t get my son kindergarten ready. My son is mildly on the spectrum and we got no support here. My eldest is on the spectrum and with another company went from 1 and 1/2 year behind his peers to above average and DID NOT miss a year in his education. That company is sadly out of business now and we made the mistake of wasting over 3 years with these fools. He leant nothing here.
