The new office space is incredibly amazing and beautiful. We had a great event today focusing on emotional wellness support for parents of children with special needs offering knowledge and tools to live their best life, manage challenges and stressors, and improve quality of life. I'm truly humbled and grateful for the partnership between the Scudder Intervention Services Foundation, Inc. 'SISFI' and The Suicide Institute to integrate our behavioral heath and wellness support services into My Time Inc's services.

My daughter has been going to the full day program at the King George clinic for the past 6 months and it has been a wonderful experience! My daughter’s verbal skills have skyrocketed and she is becoming more independent in everyday tasks. Everyone that knows my daughter, is astounded by the progress she has made since starting services here. The staff is kind and encouraging. They give a detailed summary of the day and always are an open book for any questions and concerns that I have as a parent. They come up with ideas to bridge the learning and development between the clinic, home and school. I appreciate their commitment and leadership to keeping everyone on the same page with goals which isn’t easy. They consistently show a high level of commitment to the achievement of their clients. My daughter hates going to her regular school, but loves coming here.

My son has been attending TBP for about almost a year. We’ve noticed alot of improvement. He gets at home services and he also attends the center. Both have been working great for him! RBTs at home and in center are amazing! They have a really great plan for my son’s short and long term goals.

My son has been attending ABA services at this clinic and in home for the last year. And we noticed after the first quarter of the year that he has been improving and excelling faster at everything he has been doing. We love how helpful The behavior place is and how much they can accommodate with my sons busy schedule. The experience and service provided here is unmatched.

If you don’t know what ABA is and just want insurance paid babysitting, this is the place to go! My first red flag should’ve been that my son would be the first and only in-home client of theirs. I was adamant from the start that I wouldn’t put him in a clinic until he was comfortable with his tech and I got to learn their practices. Clinics are the money pits of ABA, where they can bill multiple clients with supervisors at a much faster rate than in home. Let me stay on track. My son was assigned a tech who was all around a nice person, but had no idea what she was doing. Her enthusiasm and energy was almost a zero. She sat on my couch or dining room table 90% of the day and barely interacted with my son. While she had no idea what she was doing, she isn’t supposed to be the one observing and creating a treatment plan, the BCBA is. Who never showed her face in the 4 weeks I was with them! Come to find out, she wasn’t legally “required” to, because my son’s technician wasn’t a registered behavior technician, just a BT. So they placed a tech in my house that they knew they could get away with never supervising. Forget the success of the client, what makes the most money? I reached out to Laura (the owner and BCBA) about what was going on and asked for another tech or for her to be accompanied by someone with more experience until she could get up to speed. (Some people are kid people, and some are not. This girl was not, and most of the time you can tell that right away. So I knew then that even if she received an adequate amount of training, it was a personality issue and that can’t be fixed). Trying to talk or get ahold of Laura was like pulling teeth. She finally sent someone to accompany my son’s tech, and that person stayed for two hours. My son never had an official intake. No one with an actual degree or experience in ABA observed my son. In 4 weeks, nothing was communicated to me. No goals, no plans, nothing. My son has difficulties that I have waited so long to get help with, and nothing. Complete waste of our time and money. I pulled him out after 4 weeks. It was not helpful in anyway to have someone come sit at my house 20 hours a week and stare at us, I’d rather not be tied to the house. Be careful what companies are in it for the money, and ask all the questions you can think of. Your time is important, and your child’s success depends on it.
