The Behavior Exchange

Britton is my therapist. She’s amazing! Prior to seeing her my life felt like constant chaos. My ADHD had been something I’ve struggled with majority of adult hood but was never able to get it under control myself. She has worked with me to find the best solution for months until we figured out what suited me best. I’m so thankful for how patient and understanding she had been. She listens and prioritizes my feelings and concerns. This has been a journey but she’s made it so easy. She reminds me of my appointments and keeps me on track with my progress. The best thing i ever did was find her!

My son attended this place for a year in 2011 And I wish I could give it zero stars. He went in as a sweet kid who just needed help with verbalization and eloping and toe walking. After several months in this place, he started self abusing behavior. He started peeing on himself, hitting his head, screaming. After attending this place, I could never take him out of the house without a scene being created outside. He also started attacking others. He was only five years old during this time. But he had never once Self harmed or harmed anyone else prior to attending this place. Once all of these behavior started, I was told that they could no longer have him attend Due to the safety of their own staff.

Do NOT do business with this place. We took our asd daughter in for an assessment for services. We were assured by them and the insurance company that it would be 100% covered. We randomly got a $300 charge today to our bank account for no reason. She was never enrolled and hasn't been back since, so why did I get charged?? I talked to Behavior Exchange right after, but they couldn't tell us why they charged us, other than blaming my insurance. We also spoke to our insurance company next, who stated it should be covered completely. So, now I'm out $300 and in disbelief with their business practices... Use at your own risk!

We are brand-new to ABA and have been so impressed with everyone at The Behavior Exchange - from my initial phone call inquiring about services, to the daily reports from the therapists, the communication is fantastic! Everyone on the staff is so friendly and positive. Our son absolutely loves going every day, he is in a great mood when we drop him off in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon. Most importantly, we are seeing real progress! We are proud to be a Behavior Exchange family!

We almost sent our child here, and are very relieved that we didn't. Among the many reasons: - Questionable oversight: as a parent, you cannot arrive at the facility to see how your child is being treated. Any parent visits must be scheduled at least 3 days in advance. What are you doing with my child that you need 3 days advance notice for me to see? This does not fill me with confidence at all. What are you hiding? We were also not allowed to be present during the evaluation, which is very unusual. At the end of the evaluation, our child was extremely upset and in tears. - Unrealistic attendance policy. Children are allowed very few (I think 10) "days off" per year. Any more than that, and you have to pay for the day. Now remember that insurance won't pay for days the child does not attend, so you are out of pocket several hundreds of dollars PER DAY for absences. Please read the attendance policy very carefully. - Fraudulent billing: although I didn't send my child here, my credit card has been charged more than once for things I did not authorize. The first time, it took about a dozen phone calls and half a dozen emails from me to get them to reverse the unauthorized payment. The second time, it's been 4 phone calls and counting. I had to go through the inconvenience of changing my credit card number because I simply don't trust them to not make any more unauthorized charges. Overall, I get the impression that this place has highly questionable business practices. As a parent, I simply cannot recommend this place to any other parent or to any child to go to.
