I would rate A Balanced Child with Zero Stars. This is a very unprofessional practice that was recommended and sent a referral. I called several times and finally talked with Serica Cuellar one day who verified insurance acceptance and said someone would get in contact with us the next day. No one did as she promised. I have asked several people to see if they could get a response from them as well and still no one answers the phone or an abundance of messages left for them to return a call. It’s been almost 2 months now. I would not feel comfortable with this place if they responded to our attempts now. This is no way to run a business that is supposed to help children.

Our family has been so happy with ABA services here. We've been receiving care at A Balanced Child for several years and have been grateful to have providers who are neurodiversity affirming, presume competence and treat our child as all people should be treated, with dignity and respect. We've seen so much growth in our child in our time here, and they are doing things we weren't sure were possible: attending school, getting haircuts & dental care, taking a plane ride, going on vacation. A Balanced Child has gotten them, and us, there. It is very much a team effort and requires work and collaboration; but we are grateful to have such good partners in this process. We appreciate their parent/family services that have allowed us to learn key strategies and skills that help us support our child in their day-to-day life and assist with their progress in gaining life skills (social, emotional, etc.). Grateful to A Balanced Child and looking forward to many more supported milestones in the future. Many thanks to Serica, Victoria, Cindy, Morgan and Team. Highly recommend.

This summer I had the amazing opportunity to renew my RBT certification with A Balanced Child. The staff here are kind, supportive, and most importantly the children are happy. I have worked at 2 other ABA center prior. My first experience was great, same as with A Balanced Child. My second experience with another center was less than subpar. I absolutely enjoyed learning from the owner and leads with A Balanced Child. The staff love their jobs and the children. I am also a certified Teacher for a local charter school in San Antonio. I will miss the children and staff but will be back asap! :) Keep up the great work everyone!

I should’ve left a review a long time ago. This was the first ABA I ever went to when my daughter was first diagnosed with ASD. I had no idea what the standard was. And boy is this place NOT the standard. You’re supposed to have Parent training twice a month for an hour via insurance requirements. So I don’t know what they were telling insurance when I never got that. They would have her do toilet training, when she clearly wasn’t ready. And they never told me anything about the self injuries behavior she would have there in clinic. Finally the icing on the cake was billing. They never were on time with renewing with insurance so I would have a lapse in services. Weeks Or months without ABA. As well, Serica would keep telling me they would be having speech in clinic but that never happened. They’re a hot mess. Never had a bill ready or knew what my bill would be. And when the Bill passed to where Medicaid covered ABA they didn’t run it through that when that was my secondary insurance. Trying to bill me a high amount. Serica has a good heart but she has her hands into many baskets. Like opening a second A balanced child when she should’ve put her sole focus on this one. And doing a hotel? This place isn’t it. It’s may be a good starter place, if that, but definitely not a forever place for you little ones, who will need help long term. There are so many other good ABA out there. Look around before settling and go with your gut. I only went here because my Development doctor told me about it.
