I can’t say enough great things about this center. Every person we’ve came across is passionate, informative and helpful. My daughter sees Ms. Bethany and Ms. Maggie. The progress she’s made in the past three months has been amazing.

This school is incredible, exactly what we were looking for after recognizing that traditional daycare was not right for our son. His speech and interactions with other kids has radically improved since starting. The teachers are kind, patient and work WITH his difficulties rather than punish him for it. So thankful to Aspen Center.

If I could give negative infinite stars, I would. After being dismissed for over 10 years, my son was finally seen and diagnosed today. We were promised complete care and case management over the phone and today we were told that Seattle Children’s Autism Center is not equipped to manage care for a child with autism unless he repeatedly harms himself and others and has a criminal record. So since this has been such a long battle only to find that we’ve been lied to AGAIN, I am using every media platform available to share my son’s experience, to share truth, to urge others to speak up because we can’t be the only ones in this position. Seattle Children’s Autism Center has proven to be a colossal waste of resources and time. They made it so my son couldn’t receive early intervention services and so that he is now too old for most services, and I am outraged. I DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY and I’ll stop at nothing until there is accountability for their negligence!

So unfortunately my wonderful perfect grandson needs a little help. We have been waiting forever to get here. Today I showed up with my 8 year old grandson, who was masked, and I answered the security person's honestly and said that my grandson had a little sniffle due to swimming and the dogs, but COVID-19 test was negative and no fever. They sent us away. Even though I was crying and trying to explain how long we had waited and how important this was. So very disappointed you would do this to a child in need.

3 years of being on the waiting list (May of 2018)... I finally broke down and cried to them on the phone about how bad my child needs services back in June... they gave me an appointment right then and there for today.... then called me this morning to tell me that there was a mistake in scheduling on their end and had to cancel our appointment and that the next available appointment was in 2 months.. I am disgusted with this place. In addition if you look at the other reviews... there is one where the family was only on the waiting list for 13 months... back in 2019... why were they able to get in before us? Their waiting list is a joke and the company is a joke.

PARENTS CURRENTLY WAITING FOR AN APPOINTMENT, call and make sure you are on the cancellation list. We were expecting an appointment sometime in September 2019(got on wait list August 2018 but they have a 13 month waitlist), but because I was on the cancellation list, a spot opened up in early June 2019. Get your child a referral and into Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Behavioral Therapy and whatever else they made need in the meantime. We waited a year for OT and ST as well. Be proactive and the wait really won't seem so bad in the long run.

My daughter has been a patient of several therapists and physicians at Seattle Children's Autism Center for over five years. One therapist diligently worked to help her walk which she does now independently. The wait to be seen seemed long initially, but call often and ask for cancellations. Once we were seen, regular appointments are easy to set. Our city needs more centers like this one to meet the wealth of needs in our community.
