Horrible was on wait-list n finally got appointment that we waited for 8 months to see specialist .They cancelled 4 days before appointment n then said we gotta go thru the wait-list again. I'm done I'm cancelling all other services we get from them n never going back we shouldn't have to wait another year.

My daughter had her first appointment their Monday the 24th. Our experience was good they were nice and kind. But the doctor my daughter seen looked me and my husband in the face and said your child has all signs of autism but we're diagnosing her with ADHD because her home report was different then her at school report we are definitely getting a second opinion. I know in my heart their is a bigger issue going on then just ADHD.

My experience here was more than less than stellar. As a mom with other branches of Children's indicating this office could assist- but this office advising they could not assist because we were not following Their process...it shouldn't take 6 months to get an appointment to consult on how to make an appointment- when other areas of the same company are telling you to make an appointment. This office was curt, and unapologetically unhelpful for months.

**VERY LONG BUT, VERY INFORMATIVE!** I have been engaging with Nationwide Children's Hospital and facilities for a few years now for my 2 sons, overall I love the services/experience we've had with NCH, minus just a few specific drs/locations. My experience with this particular clinic was actually almost 2 years ago, but i want to make sure other parents know our experience as I have learned its so hard fighting for my autistic children, and I've come to rely on other parents feedback when searching for a provider/service.. So, my son was referred here for ASD eval from his crisis behavior psychiatrist, so he got an appt fairly quickly due to his extreme behaviors. At the appt, everyone was very nice and polite. They made my son feel comfortable and never seemed pushy or forceful when speaking with him. They talked with me first, I went over his whole life and what he had going on and dealing with and why I believed he's autistic.. I was very detailed and informative of all things that are my son! After the apmost 4 hours of eval, they tell me the final report will be sent to me via mail bit he definitely has the behaviors and characteristics of autism. However, and I quote, "we arent diagnosing autism because he spoke to us." Of course i was dumbfounded and had her elaborate because autistic ppl speak, many are not verbal but many are verbal and can/will speak, especially when they're invited into conversations with what their special interests are!! She explained that even tho he showed several of the stereotype traits and met the criteria, he wasnt getting diagnosed because he literally spoke to them. My first thought was getting a 2nd opinion immediately, but then I thought about how many kids are missing out on services/treatments because these yahoos arent giving official diagnosis' for ASD.. Thankfully, I found a provider thru care coordinator and my son was officially diagnosed a few months later..wait list.. but I will never forget that experience!! By the way, when i finally got the whole report, there were several discrepancies!! Such as so many statements that said, "mother reported...things about son.." that were flat out untrue, i never said alot of what they stated in the report. And, so, so, so much of what i did actually say wasnt in there at all! I know alot off ppl would say its not a big deal since he ended up getting diagnosed elsewhere.. but the records/visit notes from that appt actually does make a difference because of SSA. Obviously when filing fir supplemental income/SSI for my son, they want med records, and it most definitely can make or break the case if those records are false/not accurate!!

My son had his very first appointment on Monday 01/15/2024 with Alexandra Reed and two other wonderful women! Our three in a half hour appointment went by really fast and went very well. My son loved the women that were testing him and so far they seem very nice and patient with both of us! Alexandra Reed did not rush us out of the office and kept asking me if I had any questions! I appreciate everything they do and I appreciate them trying to help my family. We have another appointment coming up in 2 weeks to go over our first appointment so we will see how it goes and how much help they can provide us even if my son isn't diagnosed with autism! Thank you all so much for your hard work and please keep it up! We appreciate you all.
