My son has received speech therapy from Los Esperanza for a couple of years. The first three therapists were very communicative. The last one that they switched him to didn't inform us of any upcoming changes. My son didn't have his session and no one had officially let us know why. I called the office and they said that they had called. But, they didn't do their due diligence. They assumed that I knew the therapist would be out for months. They put him on a hold. It's been probably two months since we have heard a single thing from the office. It's not normal to break in therapy for this long. We won't resume services with them. You don't treat kids who need therapy like they are dispensable.

I brought my three year old son to be evaluated due to some social emotional struggles that he was having. He ended up being determined to need therapy for his difficulties. Esperanza did not have enough therapists at the time, so I was told that he would be seen in a month or two. My son was never placed with a therapist and never received the help the he needed. Now, he is going to be five and I still have not heard back from them. I tried calling every month, but eventually gave up.

The Therapists are wonderful however, the front desk girl advised she didn't have room to see my daughter after she was approved for physical therapy and supposedly would call me when they have an opening. till this day i only have received emails to provide a review and feedback about this place. No call to provide an update on if and when they will have an opening for my daughter and it has been more than 6 months. I wouldn't recommend them based off their lack of follow up. ***update** i received a call today 5/9/25 my original review was posted 5/7/25. they called to have my daughter do an evaluation for speech and physical therapy when she already completed it. then the girl proceeded to ask if i wanted to schedule my daughter for speech therapy... when she was deemed not eligible when she completed her evaluation. once i advised her she said oh yeah your right well we don't have any openings for physical therapy. this place is not organized, nor do they know their patient files. she offered me to take my daughter to Anthony, nm when i live in las cruces.

Exceptional services provided for my son. I feel like I live there, everyone knows who we are and we feel welcomed every time we are there. When we first began services we were worried about getting his AAC device because we had heard that they were hard to attain and they simplified the process and were able to get him one quickly. It has been one of the most helpful things for my son’s communication.
