Claim your listing!Unfortunately, here we are once again. Doctor told me he was going to provide it in the next 20 minutes at 11 o’clock this morning. It is now 430 and nothing has happened or will happen so if you expect a very smooth transition out of there to a new psychiatrist do not expect anything in between expect to be cut off your medication‘s completely and expect your provider to not provide you with any help whatsoever I’ve called the office without any hope or answer and or they keep doing as misleading. Me and I called the pharmacy and they keep telling me nothing they have so I told them that I’m in a very bad position. My father is very compromised. I have to take him to the emergency room. I’m not feeling well, but I’m going to have to have to take him there and they’re not willing to even help me in that regard so that tells you more than words actions none! I’m sure you’ll get more beautiful reviews as such.

To say the least. I've attempted and was left. I called, and called like your told to do...ask for help. There was none. After the prescription was done, I couldn't get a refill, the doctor was unreachable and didn't return, or respond to my calls. I'm off medication 💊 for good, and no longer trust mental health professionals. Dr. Focus hurt my progress by not responding to my needs, after she prescribed the medication in the first place.

I saw Patrick Tignoah for 6 - 7 years but lost my insurance for 2 months. When I was able to get Medicaid I called him to make an appointment. I did owe some money from my co-pay (which was $75 per visit) from my previous insurance. I was struggling financially after the death of my mother (I have no other family so all of her final arrangements fell to me and we lived together so I also no longer had someone to split rent/bills with). Therefore I was suffering financially and mentally at the time. Patrick worked with me for a while but after not being able to see him for 3 months because I lost my job and insurance I contacted him as soon as I qualified for Medicaid (which he accepts). I explained that I would make payments to make up for what I owed and wouldn't have a co-pay anymore since I now have Medicaid. He told me he had moved to CT and wasn't taking new patients, even though I wasn't technically a new patient as I had been seeing him for 6-7 years except for those 3 months. During that time I was suffering with anxiety, panic attacks, and PTSD so bad it was negatively affecting my quality of life. He told me he would give me a referral but after calling him multiple times he never did. Calling him multiple times to remind him to send my medication to the pharmacy was a common thing for the years that he treated me because he would always forget but I understood and was comfortable with after seeing him for so many years so I didn't mind having to call and text him multiple times before he would finally send it in. After almost a year of suffering I received a referral to Tri Star Behavioral from a doctor after several visits to the emergency room. Since Mr Tigenoah had told me he was in CT I assumed he wasn't there anymore but made an appointment since I figured they would at least have my medical records. I met with another provider but found out that Mr Tigenoah was still with Tri-Star Behavioral and had lied to me. I was suffering terribly and made that very clear. When I met with the different provider, after getting the referral there, I was completely honest about the fact that during the time I didn't have insurance I was forced to buy the medication he had prescribed to me for all of those years without a problem which was xanax, from other people which is extremely scary and dangerous. I didn't want to do that but was suffering, the quality of my life was being terribly affected, and I felt I had no other options. I understand that some providers are uncomfortable prescribing that medication but he had done so for all of those years without any problem. I have an over 20 year history of trying many various other medications for anxiety and have had terrible reactions to them. Some have suicidal ideation on the list of side effects they can cause as well as withdrawal like effects. You have to take them every day, suffer dangerous and often life affecting reactions, and withdrawal issues if you stop taking them abruptly but since they aren't classified as a controlled substance doctocs/providers over prescribe them, even though I explained my medical history with them. At Tri-Star, with the new provider I explained that Mr Tigenoah had been my provider for all of those years and I was under the impression he wasn't practicing in NY anymore or at Tri-Star anymore. I explained my history of being prescribed Xanax by Mr Tigenoah, which I do understand is a controlled substance that some providers are uncomfortable prescribing but was the only medication that worked for me without causing other problems that made my life and mental health worse. Also, since this was all through Tri-Star I believed that my medical records would explain that since I was able to take the medication only as needed instead of every single day it made a huge difference in my life and made my life manageable because I wasn't suffering so terribly from the life crippling anxiety I had been dealing with before. I had tried to explain everything in more detail but my post was too long so I had to cut it much shorter.

I have been a patient of Patrick for three years now and I will say that being under his care has changed my life for the better in many ways. I have spent many years not addressing my adult ADHD, mainly because I was ashamed to be medicated , with so many changes I was lead to seek help, and because of Patrick’s knowledge and service, I am a student , and a full time employee in a very fast paced working environment and I can say with all honesty that I am thriving in my 30s. , I am recognized at work for my efficiency and passing my courses with A’s and B’s. Thank you Patrick for your professionalism and quick responses to all of my medical concerns

Dr Patrick Tigenoah, he saved me, he is the best Dr I have seen in the last 10 years that I truly trust because he knows what works…he believes in less meds the better which is what worked for me, he is current on all things especially “new” meds… he took me off the myriad of pills I was on from a dr I settled for and I am truly able to live my life free of misery, if you are reading this DONT SETTLE on providers available to you, if u give Dr Tigenoah a call. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed- Mariann Kentner
