To start ABA, the child must be enrolled in a TRICARE health plan, have an ASD diagnosis from an approved provider, and receive an ACD referral and pre-authorization. Active-duty family members also generally need EFMP enrollment and ECHO registration; ask the regional contractor or US Family Health Plan provider about the family’s specific requirements.
